What ages do you teach at Melody Suite?
For singing we teach all ages from 7yrs though to 60+ yrs.
For songwriting we teach all ages from 11 yrs through to 60+ yrs.
(For students younger than 11 for songwriting, we recommend starting by developing musicality skills with an instrument such as piano or guitar (we don't offer instrumental lessons at this stage).
Do I need any experience to start lessons with Melody Suite?
We teach absolute beginners through to advanced students. So you are welcome to begin lessons with no experience.
Can I book coaching for both singing and songwriting, or do I need separate sessions?
Yes! You can absolutely combine singing and songwriting in your sessions, or focus on one area at a time. Some students prefer to work on both to get a more well-rounded experience, while others may choose to focus solely on one depending on their goals.
How long are the sessions, and how frequently should I book them?
We offer 30, 45 & 60min sessions, you are welcome to pick the length that works best for your needs and budget. The most popular length session is 45mins for singing. For songwriting, we the 60min sessions work best.
We recommend weekly sessions if you have the availability as this helps you develop consistent routine around practice, however students also may opt for fortnightly sessions.
After you book in your initial session we will discuss which option works best for you and your needs.
Do you offer group lessons or only one-on-one coaching?
Currently, we offer personalized one-on-one coaching to ensure that each student gets individualized attention. However, if you're interested in group lessons, feel free to reach out, and we can discuss potential options!
What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule a session?
We understand that life happens! You can reschedule a session with at least 24 hours’ notice. If you cancel within 24 hours, a 50% cancellation fee may apply. See terms and conditions here.
Can I book a session as a gift for someone else?
Yes, gift certificates are available for all session types! It’s a great way to support a friend or loved one’s musical journey. Please reach out via email here to organise a gift certificate.
How do I pay for lessons?
For your first session, payment will be required to schedule your booking - this is taken as you schedule your online booking (you can do so here). After your first session, you can either pay on per lesson or per calendar month via invoice or via in session eftpos.
